Piercing Services & Pricing

Tattoo Pricing.

There are two generally accepted methods of pricing for tattoos: a flat fee and an hourly fee. At Studio 54 Tattoo & Piercings, we use Both pricing methods, depending on the tattoo. For an estimate on a small tattoo, please reach out through the form on our Contact page. For an estimate on a large tattoo, please come into our studio for a FREE consultation.

Flat Fee: This is a common method of pricing for smaller tattoos, such as hearts, roses and lettering. The pricing is estimated based on what it will take for the artist to complete the tattoo, such as the length of time, the complexity of the design and the colors involved. These prices are not set in stone and can fluctuate depending on other factors.

Hourly Fee: All custom artwork over two hours will be charged our hourly rate of $150 per hour. This is primarily when the piece is large, takes more than one sitting to finish or is created free-hand on the client.

Get the Tattoo You Want

One of the most common mistakes we see is when a client walks in the shop is limiting the type of tattoo they want to the amount of money they have on hand. Even worse, they switch from the tattoo they truly want to something smaller and cheaper because it's what they can afford. We have actually seen people talk themselves into getting a tiny tattoo because they only have $50 or $60.

Worse yet is the client gets a small tattoo added on to another little tattoo because what they want is a larger tattoo but can't afford the large one in the first place. Eventually, it just looks like a mess.

If you know what you want, and you don't have the money for it right now, there are a few options: you can wait and save up the full amount, then come back at a later time or you can have the tattoo completed in multiple sessions.

Be upfront and let the artist know that you are interested in the tattoo but you don't currently have the full amount. Our artists are usually willing to work things out with you, so you can get as much work as you can afford per session. Our artists prefer doing a larger tattoo in two or more sessions anyway. After the outline is complete, it allows the area to heal before the color is applied.
